My experience with Special Master Allen Giles was extremely disappointing. Communication was inconsistent, vague, and often nonexistent. Many of my emails were ignored for days or weeks, deadlines were unclear, and Mr. Giles was frequently unavailable with no backup contact. The link to the final meeting was sent to me 19 minutes before it began, leaving me completely unprepared and still without documents I had requested for months. The sale of my home—where I lived 20 years—felt rushed and handled without meaningful input from me. My listing was renewed without my knowledge, and rapid price reductions erased nearly all equity. Despite repeated requests, I received no updates on his mounting fees and no explanation for key decisions. His nearly $7,000 bill contained minimal detail and vague references to “multiple conversations.” In my personal experience, the entire process felt disorganized, unbalanced, and financially harmful. Homeowners deserve to know what they may face.
