Tricia A. Asaro serves as Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Health Care & FDA Practice, Administrative Shareholder of the Albany office, and Chair of the Albany office Health Care & FDA Practice. She concentrates her practice on health care, insurance, and government law and policy, with a particular focus on complex regulatory, compliance, licensure, and transactional matters.
Tricia advises health plans, health care providers, investors, private equity sponsors, and other stakeholders across the country on a broad range of regulatory and business issues affecting the health care and insurance industries. She is widely recognized for her ability to navigate highly regulated environments and develop practical strategies to address complex legal, operational, and strategic challenges.
While her practice is national in scope, Tricia brings particularly deep experience with New York’s health care and insurance regulatory framework. She has wide-ranging experience working with and before the New York State Department of Health, Department of Financial Services, State Education Department, Office of Addiction Services and Supports, and Office of the Attorney General. Her understanding of the regulatory priorities, approval processes, and enforcement considerations of these agencies enables clients to successfully navigate matters involving licensure, compliance, corporate transactions, governmental oversight, and regulatory change.
Clients frequently turn to Tricia for guidance on their most significant and complex matters, including regulatory approvals, change-of-control transactions, mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, corporate restructurings, compliance program development, governance issues, reimbursement matters, and government investigations. She has deep experience leading the regulatory aspects of transactions involving managed care organizations and other health care entities and is particularly adept at coordinating matters involving multiple regulators and overlapping legal frameworks.
