Co-Founded in 1988, Tim is a Principal of the Albany, NY based law firm Burke & Casserly, P.C. Tim focuses his practice in estate planning, elder law, business and financial planning.Tim is also a founding member and president of Arista Wealth Advisors, Ltd., a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with the Securities and Exchange Commission which currently manages investments in excess of $140 million for various individuals, families and pension plans on a fee-only basis. He utilizes his Certified Financial Planner™ designation to provide wealth management and investment advisory services to clients.

He has lectured nationally to professionals, corporations and to the general public on financial and estate planning topics and issues pertaining to asset protection and long term care planning. He has been quoted on these issues in the New York Times, Money Magazine, and other national publications. He has also authored many articles on the same topics for professional journals and periodicals and co-authored Boomer Basics: Everything You Need to Know About the Issues Facing You, Your Children, and Your Parents – a planning guide for consumers published by McGraw Hill.Tim was named a Super Lawyer in 2009 through 2018 and was selected for inclusion on the New York Super Lawyers - Upstate Edition List, as well as Top 25 Attorneys in Hudson Valley Magazine's Super Lawyer Section. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and he is admitted to the State Bars of New York and Colorado.Tim serves on the Board of Directors of Medicus Christi, Ltd., a non-profit organization established to bring much needed medical care to impoverished, underserved people of the Developing World. Since 2014, he has also been on the Board of Directors of Community Maternity Services, an agency of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany.
