Bradley C. Murray joined Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP in March 2025 and is a member of the Firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group.

Brad is admitted to practice in New York State and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Schenectady County Bar Association, and the Albany County Bar Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York. In 2024, Brad was selected as the recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Law Section Rising Star Fellowship. In 2022 and 2023, he was selected as a Rising Star in the areas of Estate Planning and Probate by Super Lawyers. He is also a past recipient of the Schenectady County Bar Association Young Lawyer of the Year Award.

Professional/Community

Brad holds several leadership positions within the New York State Bar Association, including serving as an active member, Committee Vice Chair, and 4th Judicial District Representative on the Trusts and Estates Law Section’s Executive Committee. He is also involved with the Young Lawyers Section, serving as Secretary of the Section and as a member of the Executive Committee. Locally, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Schenectady County Bar Association, and is a member of the SCBA’s Trusts, Estates and Elder Law Committee.

Additionally, Brad has served as a member of the SUNY Schenectady Paralegal Studies Program Advisory Committee since 2021. He is a past member of the Wells College Alumnae and Alumni Association Board of Directors and the Wells College Planned Giving Committee. Brad is also a proud member of the Schenectady Rotary Club, serving on the Board of Directors and as Assistant Treasurer, and enjoys volunteering with Rotary throughout the local community.

Background/Education

Brad earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School, where he served as Executive Editor of the Albany Government Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Wells College. Prior to joining Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, Brad worked in private practice in Glens Falls and Schenectady. While in law school, as a recipient of the New York Bar Foundation Trusts and Estates Law Section Fellowship, Brad clerked for the Hon. Vincent W. Versaci, Schenectady County Surrogate’s Court.

Originally from Syracuse, New York, Brad has called the capital region home for over a decade. He resides in Schenectady with his dog and cat. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks and Catskills, kayaking, cheering on Syracuse University football and basketball, and taking long walks with his dog.
