About Orville L. Reed III

Orville Reed is a partner in Stark & Knoll's Litigation & Employment Group.
He graduated from Borromeo Seminary College of Ohio, magna cum laude. He received his law degree, with distinction, in 1973 from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
Prior to joining Stark & Knoll, Orville practiced law for nearly 40 years at an Akron area law firm. He focuses his practice on the areas of personal injury litigation, commercial litigation and insurance law. Orville has received many honors throughout his career, including but not limited to, being listed in Best Lawyers in America® for more than 20 years. Most recently, he was honored by Ohio Super Lawyers® as one of the Top 50 Lawyers in the Cleveland area, as well as Best Lawyers' Akron, Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants Lawyer of the Year.
Orville is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the Akron Bar Association where he serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
