Stuck! This is the best word to describe my experience with the Crowder Law Firm, P.C. Was charged by the overzealous Plano, TX police with one 2nd-Degree Felony and one Class A Misdemeanor. I only met Ms. Crowder once in the past year and that was my initial visit where she collected the $5000 retainer. Was ensured my case would not even make it to an indictment. Guess what? I was indicted on a True Bill. From the beginning, I was represented by the most junior Associate attorney who was always late to court and doesn't even work for the Firm anymore. Now I am represented by a new Associate who is not much better. Would have been in the same circumstance had I represented myself. I would change Firms but at this point it has passed the point of no return. Name of the game is to stretch everything out and collect more fees. They will keep "resetting" your case due to being understaffed and incompetent. Stay away!
She's very bad at communicating. I've had appointments with her canceled four times now with a promise that her assistant will contact me to reschedule - who never does. The only thing she seems to be good at is ignoring me; it feels like I'm her absolute lowest priority on the occasion I 'get' to talk to her. Very disappointed and regret hiring her.
I meet with her and specifically asked if she would be representing me in court and she said yes. I told her I DID NOT want to talk to her and then she send random attorneys. What happened?? She never showed up once. She sent a different person to each court appearance and once I sat in court for 3 hours for my check-in and no one showed. A member of her team lied. The attorney who did show up when it was time to be sentenced did not even fight for me AT ALL. $7500 what a waste. I received the sentence I would have I just went in alone. Fast forward and after rehab, I need an amendment to my probation so I called and asked to speak to someone, The person answering the phone asked if it was a new case, and when I said no - no one ever called me back. My experience was terrible.
