She has a very fair price and works hard to make sure you receive the smoothest BK possible. I had a few hiccups but she amended and resolved all issues. I would recommend her to anyone wanting affordable bk counseling .

Hired Attorney Sarah Oberer

My goal for working with her was to solve problem, instead of create new ones. Sarah left me with an ongoing sense and feeling of “not having someone in your corner” to fight for you like themselves. Some of the challenges working with Sarah: -Lack of a thought/care about personal safety: Because my case included domestic violence protections, it was common sense to do whatever she could to keep me safe but instead made errors that could compromise my safety. -Lack of experience. She constantly needed outside input to answer my questions about standard divorce protocol. -Unclear communication. For example, receiving constant conflicting calendar invites for cancelled/rescheduled events -Unhelpful advice that would have unnecessarily cost thousands of extra dollars. Instead of feeling like she was an advocate, it felt like I constantly needed to advocate for myself to feel seen, heard, understood and cared for, while adding additional stress due to errors and lack of experience.

I retained Phillip Worsham with Shurlaw on 5/17/22. I didn't know that he was only employed with the firm for 2 months. He was inexperienced & unknowledgeable about Family Law. He overcharged for several items & charged for things that he shouldn't charge for & that could not be verified. My fiancé & I brought that to the owner's attention & nothing was done. Motions were drafted by their paralegals & they have to be completely rewritten & refiled by my new attorney because they were done incorrectly. Phillip notifies me that he's leaving the firm August 1st, so he wouldn't be representing me on the motions he filed. Those asked for court costs & reimbursement of attorney fees. All of that is for nothing now. He charged over $1000 for reviewing my file, which included all previous motions. That's a complete waste of money since he isn't representing me now. I paid over $3000 & he NEVER represented me in a single hearing because he resigned before the first one. I contacted Shurlaw...
