Thomas L. Kearney, IV (T.L.) graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with B.S. degrees in Business and Psychology and earned his J.D., Cum Laude, from Widener University School of Law. While at Widener he served on the Executive Board as an Editor for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, was Vice President of the Student Bar Association, and completed an externship with the Honorable Justice Richard Barclay Surrick of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. After law school he served as an Assistant District Attorney in York County’s Major Crimes Unit, trying numerous jury cases. As a defense attorney he has secured not-guilty verdicts and full-charge dismissals, and has argued in the Pennsylvania Superior Court and federal district courts. Admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, T.L. is a Martindale‑Hubbell Platinum Client Champion and an annual Avvo Top Attorney and Client’s Choice awardee. His practice focuses on criminal defense, DUI and traffic ticket defense, and civil litigation. A native of York County, he lives in central York County with his wife, four sons, and daughter.
