Hired Attorney John A. Pappalardo

John Pappalardo and Olivia Marotta were by far the best attorneys I could have wished for during my case. In what seemed to be an impossible battle, they guided me through every step with incredible poise. When I found it difficult to be patient many times, they kept my focus on the bigger picture. They never engaged in mud slinging when the opposing side did, rather, they brought the attention back to the core of what mattered and did so in a very classy manner each time. I am very grateful.

Hired Attorney John A. Pappalardo

Mr. Pappalardo provided me with excellent legal counsel during my highly acrimonious divorce. He showed remarkable compassion for my deep concern about my son's well-being and happiness, which was my central focus. Moreover, his insight and guidance during the custody phase of my divorce proved to be extremely beneficial not only legally but also in terms of my son's social and emotional needs. His honesty, integrity and deep understanding of the law are unsurpassed. I highly recommend him.

He took a case because he knew my ex husband’s family. My children and myself lived in a state he was not licensed to practice. NY had no jurisdiction over myself or my children. But he just took my ex husbands word and filed 65 motions against me. He was supposed to be a GAL for our children, yet he did not listen to my daughter’s pediatrician or phychiatrist and refused to allow my daughter to get the medication and medical treatment she so desperately needed. Due to Mr Pappalardo’s aggressive filings against a resident of another state and his refusal to meet with the mother or allow medication for my daughter. My daughter has serious medical issues that have manifested into multiple other serious life altering conditions. Mr Pappalardo did not want to listen to DCF in CT back in 2019-2020 he had me evaluated who told him it’s DOMESTIC ABUSE by father. Now father is being investigated by for medical neglect. John should be disbarred.

Completely unprofessional individual. I was scheduled for a consultation that he completely missed because he decided to go out for drinks instead. He then backtracked and tried to offer me another day for a consultation when all I needed was my money back. I was referred by a friend who had an even worse experience. He talks poorly of his clients in front of others and has no filter. Maybe don't call your clients "nut jobs" when others are in earshot. The only decent experience I had was with his receptionist who called me multiple times to apologize for him missing my consultation. A complete waste of time and money. The world doesnt revolve around you John. Your time isnt the only one that is important.

Hired Attorney John A. Pappalardo

John is kind and caring in the beginning, he presents well then becomes another person once he has secured a retainer fee. He was negligent of his fiduciary responsibility to protect my legal best interests and was never available to speak over the phone. He had four junior associates handle my file with incredible errors, all due to high turn over in his practice. During the third rotation, he assigned his son who just graduated law school to my very complicated case. After two months his own son quit or was fired from the practice. The errors were unbelievable, and John dismissed the egregious errors by stating: “its not a big deal”. He was very interested in garnering favor with opposing counsel and charged for unauthorized calls to opposing counsel. John neglected to prepare me or my witnesses for trial but was quick to explain he would need an additional $20,000 for a written brief. John’s practice has received over $50,000 and he is threatening to sue me for another $20,000.

I called to schedule a consultation. John met with me then left to attend another matter and pulled in Janet Murphy, esq. I did most of the talking sharing documents. I paid $450. John said he would call me with retainer costs and that he would help me. I really needed him to just review the stipulation as I was pro se for most proceedings. He coldly emailed me that he was too busy to take my case. Why schedule a consultation and charge me $450if you were too busy to take on another case?
