Wilfred F. Drake, P.C.
Estate Planning and Administration for Residents of Durham, Orange, Wake, Granville, Chatham, and Person Counties Since 1979
Firm Overview

I came to Durham from Virginia after finishing my law degree and my master's degree in 1979. I worked as an associate in a general practice firm until I established my own firm in 1982. I have been a sole practitioner since that time.

During my first ten years of practice I handled many types of cases, including estate, business, tax, bankruptcy, real estate, domestic, personal injury, traffic, and criminal cases. I have conducted jury trials; I have contested administrative decisions; and I have argued cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Since 1990 I have focused primarily on the area of estates, and now approximately eighty percent of my work is related to estate planning and administration.

I have two secretaries who have worked for me for over ten years. I do not employ paralegals; I do my own legal research and drafting.

Since 1998 I have enjoyed sharing office space with two other lawyers in the Morehead Hill neighborhood. My offices are conveniently located three blocks from the Durham Freeway, where we have ample parking.

Please go to the Practice Areas page for a discussion of estate planning and administration.
