Real Estate

Real estate laws cover the rights to own, lease, use, and enjoy land and the permanent manmade additions attached to it - homes, barns and other buildings.

This includes the ability to hold interests in real property, permissible interests in real property, relations between neighbors, relations between owners and a homoeowners' association, landlord and tenant issues, transferring interests in real property, and property financing, such as deeds and mortgages. Real estate transactions, such as purchases, sales, and leases, are governed many federal, state and local laws that differ across the country.

Can I legally do anything about a tenent smoking outside of house if it is not stipulated in the lea
Lease does not say tenent can''t smoke outside. It only says ''no smoking''. Smoking outside offends other tenent as smoke drifts into his yard occupied by him and his family. I have asked the smoking tenent nicely not to smoke where the other tenents can smell it but he does not seem to be co-operating. What if anything can I legally do to get him to stop smoking where other tenent can smell it? Property is located in Los Angeles county where there is a high fire danger.
