Employment law is the name given to the branch of civil law that covers the laws and regulations governing labor relations and employment issues, such as collective bargaining, discrimination in the workplace, sexual harassment, occupational safety, wage and hour requirements, and workers' compensation.
Federal statutes, such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, as well as state laws protect employees from discrimination based on age, disability, sex, race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The Family and Medical Leave Act, another federal law, allows employees to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for certain family and medical reasons without having to worrying about losing their jobs.

| Is this a fraud ? |
| I am part time employed and I found a job online as a car salesman. With all requirements and qualifications they ask and I had, there was also one, "No previous automotive sales experience necessary, we will train." I sent my resume, had a first interview, I was told about salary, and asked to come for one week training. I came for training, finished it, and had another interview. I was told I will be called next week, had my background checked and do the drug-test. I got the call two weeks later to come for another interview. I came, signed all disclaimers and tax-salary related documents and was told I will be called next week. I was called ten days later and told to come for another interview. I had interview with GM and I was told that this is a MULTIMILLION dolIar company and in his vision am NOT QUALIFIED for position because they are looking for somebody with car sales experience, but if I got any in the future they would consider hiring me. Any ground for a lawsuit ?
