With a long-time interest in service to charitable, professional and business organizations, Attorney Thompson became a member of the Board of the Women's Support and Enrichment Center and served that organization in a variety of roles culminating in a two year term as President of the Board. In l999, after consummation of a merger with another non-profit, Ann accepted a seat on the Board of the new entity, now known as the Women's Resouce Center of Sarasota County: women helping women become financially and emotionally independent.

Attorney Thompson has also served on the Board, and as Vice-president of the Volunteer Center South, and on the Board of the Family Resource Connection, an information, referral and coordinating agency for children's and parenting issues.

Presently the Treasurer of the Venice-Englewood Bar Assocation, she has served as Vice-Chair of the Board of the South County YMCA Foundation, and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Venice Foundation Women's Fund Advisory Council.

Ann has also served as a member of the Board of Diretors of the Women's Legal Fund. She continues to date to serve as Secretary of the Ehrhart Family Foundation.

While practicing in New Hampshire during her earlier career, Attorney Thompson was past President of the Franklin Pierce Law Center Alumni/ae Association and Development Council, and served on the New Hampshire Supreme Court Professional Conduct Committee, as well as on the Board of Governors of the New Hampshire Bar Assocation.
