The Minnesota No-Fault Law provides for wage loss benefits equal to 85% of your gross weekly pay, up to at least $250 per week. These benefits are subject to a maximum benefit for each occurrence, usually $20,000. Your policy may provide greater coverage, but your insurance policy must provide at least these minimal coverages.
To obtain these benefits, you will need verification from your doctor that you cannot work because of your auto accident-related injury. You will also need verification of employment and wage loss from your employer.
Self-employed persons may obtain this benefit, although such cases can be more complicated, involving proof of past profits.
We will be glad to help you with this aspect of your claim free of charge when we are retained to represent you in the personal-injury portion of your claim. |
