I will be happy to fly to your city or town to meet with you in person. There is no need for you to drive all the way to the Twin Cities to meet with me. I can often set up an appointment (at your convenience, of course) for us to meet face-to-face within a day or two of your call.
Remember, I will not pressure you to sign a retainer agreement or hire me to handle your case. It is critically important that you be comfortable with the lawyer you select to represent you. I do not want to represent you if you are not comfortable in every way with our relationship.
The relationship between attorney and client is highly personal and confidential. Together, the attorney and client form a team dedicated to the pursuit of the client's best interests. To be effective, you and I will have to work closely together over a significant period of time. We will come to know one another on a personal basis. The start of that relationship needs to be a face-to-face meeting, and not simply a telephone call.
I know that your injury makes travel difficult for you. That's why I come to you for our meetings, and not the other way around. |
