Biography: Kathryn (Katie) Loring joined the Firm in 2008 as an associate attorney when she relocated to Friday Harbor from Seattle. Prior to that, Katie worked as an associate attorney for Perkins Coie LLP in Seattle, practicing primarily in employment litigation and appellate law. Katie also served as a judicial law clerk for Justice Mary Fairhurst of the Washington Supreme Court from 2004-2005. Katie is active in the Friday Harbor chapter of Soroptimist International, the San Juan County Bar Association, Leadership San Juan Islands, the Board of Trustees of the San Juan County Law Library, and an active participant in the San Juan County Pro Bono Program. PRACTICE AREAS: Katie's practice emphasizes a broad range of litigation, including land use and construction litigation, dissolution cases, contract disputes, employment disputes, and personal injury cases, as well as appellate work.
