- Mr. Schottenstein is a member of the Columbus Bar Association where he currently serves on the Employment Law Committee.
- Mr. Schottenstein is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
- Mr. Schottenstein is a member of the Florida Bar.
- Mr. Schottenstein served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio in 1973, and was appointed as Special Counsel to the Attorney General.
- Mr. Schottenstein is admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern and Northern District of Ohio.
- Mr. Schottenstein is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
