Thirty years experience in the areas of commercial litigation and bankruptcy and chapter 11 reorganizations, including representation of secured and unsecured creditors, commercial lenders, financial institutions, debtors, trustees and creditors' committees in jurisdictions across the country.

Expertise in negotiating, structuring and formulating reorganization plans, the recovery, assembly and distribution of estate assets, as well as a broad range of creditor representations in corporate bankruptcies and insolvencies.

Also has extensive experience in the areas of pre-filing our out-of-court workouts and has advised numerous large creditors in such matters.

Represents various creditor constituencies in insolvency proceedings, including secured creditors, unsecured creditors, creditors' committees and indenture trustees.

He has made numerous arguments at the United States Court of Appeal for the Tenth Circuit, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Tenth Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit.

Represents commercial litigation clients, defending against a lender liability claim, pursuing claims of defrauded investors, as well as pursuing avoidance actions under the provisions of the bankruptcy code.


Mr. Jenkins was appointed as the Receiver in SEC enforcement actions against Novus Technologies, LLC and RCH2, LLC pending in the United States District Court for the District of Utah (Securities and Exchange Commission v. Novus Technologies, et al., Civ. No. 07-cv-00235DB). His responsibilities include locating, assembling, liquidating and marshalling assets for distribution to defrauded investors in the alleged "ponzi" schemes. His role as Receiver continues to the present time.

Mr. Jenkins assisted America West Airlines in its post-confirmation litigation and plan implementation activities. He also served as lead reorganization counsel to the chapter 11 Trustee in the hotly-contested and highly publicized reorganization proceeding of Cajun Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.In the late-1990s, Cajun Electric was one of the largest and most extensive chapter 11 bankruptcy cases ever filed, requiring the Trustee and his advisors to assemble, administer and formulate a vehicle for distribution of assets valued in excess of $1 billion to creditors holding claims in excess of $5 billion. In that representation, Mr. Jenkins supervised and coordinated the efforts of dozens of attorneys at several different law firms.
