The history of the firm dates back to 1971 when Richard Rost joined the firm of Padgett, Greeley, Marumoto & Akinaka in Honolulu. In 1973 Richard Rost became resident Counsel for the firm on Maui, and in 1975, the law firm of Padgett & Rost was formed on Maui. In 1980 that firm dissolved when Frank D. Padgett was named a Judge of the newly formed Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals. Richard Rost has maintained a practice under his own name. The firm emphasizes practice in plaintiff's personal injury work and commercial litigation. |
