Reaves Law Firm, P.C., was founded in 1988 by Craig C. Reaves. We provide creative, practical and effective legal solutions for persons with estate planning needs, and the highly specialized needs of persons who are elderly and those who have a disability.
Mr. Reaves and the staff of Reaves Law Firm take great pride in providing personal services to our clients by addressing each client's needs on an individual basis. We concentrate our efforts in the complex areas of:
ESTATE PLANNING: Designing and preparing trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney, health care directives and other documents to help our clients accomplish their estate planning goals while avoiding probate and minimizing taxes.
This includes assisting parents (and other family members) of a child who has a disability to design and implement a plan to leave a legacy for the child without jeopardizing the child's ability to receive public assistance benefits, such as SSI and Medicaid.
ELDER LAW: Helping persons who are elderly or disabled to protect their assets, qualify for public assistance benefits, and plan for their long-term care.
This includes: MEDICAID PLANNING: Guiding families through the maze of qualifing for Medicaid assistance for long-term care, and SPECIAL NEEDS PLANNING: Preparing Special Needs Trusts for persons who have a disability and are inheriting money of receiving a lawsuit settlement.
GUARDIANSHIP and PROBATE: Establishing guardianships and conservatorships when needed, and assisting when it is necessary to go to probate court.
