| Additional Bio Details | Attorney James Polyak is a graduate of The Penn State University and Widener University School of Law. After law school, he completed his internship as a prosecutor in The Berks County District Attorney's Office. In 1992, he was hired as a full time Assistant District Attorney in Reading, PA. In 1994, Mr. Polyak left the District Attorney's Office for criminal defense private practice in Reading, Pennsylvania. Since that time, he has represented thousands of clients charged with misdemeanor and felony criminal offenses in Pennsylvania. He has conducted over 100 jury trials including death penalty cases. He appears frequently in United States District Court, handeling complex federal criminal litigation. Mr. Polyak is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Berks County Bar Association, and The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and The Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a former Criminal Law Instructor at Reading Area Community College, and has lectured at the Reading Police Academy. He is the former Chairman of the Berks County Bar Association Criminal Law Committee. |
