Mr. Cohen concentrates his practice in business transactions and business planning for start-up and growing businesses, including the organization of corporations and limited liability companies, buy-sell agreements, real estate purchases and sales, commercial real property leasing, commercial financing, mergers and acquisitions of closely held businesses, the negotiation and drafting of complex agreements, and the provision of legal advice in a variety of areas pertaining to the conduct of business.  Mr. Cohen also has experience in the areas of commercial litigation and estate administration.

 

Mr. Cohen is a member of the American Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.  He is admitted to practice in Maryland and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  He received a J.D. degree in 1985 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. degree in 1982, with distinction and  "Special Honors in Political Science" from the George Washington University, where he was admitted into Phi Beta Kappa.

 

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Cohen maintains a keen interest in United States coins and is a member of national, state, and local numismatic organizations.
