  Harvey D. Peyton was admitted to practice law in the state of West Virginia immediately upon graduation from the West Virginia College of Law in 1974. After a one-year clerkship with the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, Mr. Peyton began practicing in the law office of Andrew J. Goodwin with a concentration on insurance defense trial work. In 1977, Mr. Peyton began practicing in Nitro, West Virginia, representing a wide range of civil litigants. Mr. Peyton concentrates his practice on plaintiffs' civil and defense criminal trial work and participates in six to ten jury trials per year in the circuit courts of Kanawha, Putnam and Mason Counties, West Virginia, and in local federal district courts.
