He received his Law degree from Washington and Lee University’s School of Law in 1983. In law school, he served as a note and comment editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review.
Mr. Gruenert was one of the founding partners of Gibson Gruenert, establishing the firm in January 1996. Prior to that time, he was associated with a number of the leading corporate law firms in Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Gruenert is the former chair of the Wetlands and Endangered Species Committee of the ABA Real Property Section, and the former chair of the Endangered Species Committee of the ABA Section on Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law.
Mr. Gruenert's practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate law, commercial transactions and general civil litigation, including creditor's rights, products liability, environmental litigation and construction litigation. Mr. Gruenert is admitted to practice in Texas, Louisiana and the District of Columbia.
