Criminal Law: Practicing criminal law involves representing clients at all levels within the State, including Municipal, Justice, County, District, Court of Appeals, and Court of Criminal Appeals, including travel throughout all regions of the State. Complexity of criminal matters has increased with experience. Solicited by and appointed by the Court of Criminal Appeals to represent two individuals on death row on their State Writs of Habeas Corpus. Qualified for appointment as first chair in Capital Murder cases in the 9th Administrative Judicial District. Driving While Intoxicated, driver?s license and traffic ticket issues have increased in regularity with the current emphasis statewide on prosecution of drinking drivers and the removal of unlicenced and at risk drivers from public roads.      

Family Law: In a general family practice, everything available in the Texas Family Code is encountered from juvenile defense to divorce, adoption, child support, visitation and all related matters involving the parent-child relationship including representing children and adults as guardian and attorney ad litem in cases involving the Texas Department of Human Services and Texas Attorney General. As a single custodial parent of two children, now ages 21 and 24, I have personal experience in understanding the needs and problems of a single parent. As a father I believe the father/child relationship is key to a child becoming a healthy and happy adult.

Probate: Probate familiarity includes drafting wills, trusts, probating estates, guardianships, mental commitments and related matters.

Real Estate: Real estate practice includes preparation of all description of contracts, documents, real estate instruments, property title examination, title opinions, foreclosure and collection for banking institutions, and landlord-tenant matters.
