I hired this law firm for a bankruptcy matter which was urgent due to an upcoming foreclosure trial. I paid attorney fees, court cost, and took the required credit counseling class expeditiously. I was given conflicting information by non attorneys, and never received any follow up once they collected my money. A few days after hiring them it became obvious that they were not going to file my bankruptcy motion in time to stop the foreclosure trial. I was forced to cancel their services.

So far I am over-the-moon with the Orlando KEL office. I learned more from them in 15 minutes than I learned from a generalist lawyer over 2 years. KEL went way beyond the call of duty to get my case filed on time despite delays I caused due to misinformation from other attorneys. The paralegals I worked with are very well-informed and the paralegals and lawyers are not only pleasant and helpful, they really know their stuff in specific areas of law they practice. No more generalists for me!

DO NOT USE!!! RIP OFF REPORT!!! KEL law firm founders disciplined by Florida Supreme Court.... The Florida Supreme Court ordered that the three founders of Kaufman, Englett & Lynd PA law firm be publicly reprimanded. All three founders acknowledged they failed to communicate properly with clients about cases. In addition to the reprimand, the owners also were ordered to attend ethics schools and pay the cost of Florida Bar investigation.

They almost cost me my home. They changed my forwarding address to their address and never answered or responded to any of the banks mailings. I had to handle not only my primary home but my other cases myself. However, they kept billing me.

Our KEL case went as planned, filed as stated, discharged when expected, and all was done within 11 months (from first meeting to BK discharge to KEL case closing). It was a difficult period and lengthy process in our lives, which were caused by the situation, not KEL. To sum this up, we are satisfied customers of KEL. The rating was given because there are areas of service that could be improved--like the email response time should be 1 day and for voice mails, 1-2 days. (Full review on Yelp.)

went to them for uncontested divorce paid the 1900.00 one time fee and the filing fee of 450.00 to orange county, then started to get e-mails / calls/letters to call their office , on my part I was stupid did not know every time they contacted you and when you called them back, there was a large $$$$ fee, that was two years ago they even called and asked if I like to move on with my case for a fee again even talked with the office manger an she just laugh, still have all the paper work

I paid $5,400 for my loan modification. They never did any thing and not even call the bank to work for my modification. I paid for nothing they took my money away. After a year I got a letter from KEL asking for more money I I wanted to continue with them. Please do not waste your money with this company.

When my husband and I went it to KEL to have them file head of the household so money would stop being taken from my husband's paycheck we were told it was going to be $800. We were told that it is usually $200 but since it was in a different county (across the state, which they claimed they would have to go to) the charge is $1,000 but they were going to give us a discount. We were NEVER told the $800 was just a retainer. We paid them the money and it took one whole month for us to receive a

Tim ¿ We sat with you on Dec. 4th. Its Now Dec. 19th. Instead of being part of the solution you you and your firm are only adding to them. No progress being made, no phone calls, or emails being responded to. Shamefully unprofessional and unacceptable. This is the end of the road. We are securing alternate legal counsel this morning. Hallie ¿ Hang up on client. he lack of professional courtesy you are personally providing is not what we are paying for and will not be tolerated.

A law firm only interested in collections from the client, thats all I ever heard from was Kel wanting there next payment, if not for myself asking the day before if I needed to be at a court hearing, they would of missed the appearance, the employee from the billing department incorrectly told me I lost my case, and was gleeful about it, no one gave a crap, no one at kel did any thing, like a three ring circus, with only collections well oiled. Over 2500 for nothing, do not hire this firm...

Awful. Apathetic. Avaricious. Misleading. Disengaged. Never received court documents from court hearing. Met with my atty once in 4 months, five days before the hearing, spoke with him twice by phone. Difficult to get calls returned. Primary contact (rare) was AR, and paralegals. After losing the case (characterized as "a done deal") was pitched for an appeal proffering a strategy that would have worked just fine in the initial hearing. I'm rating them a "1" only because there is no "0" option.

Was kept in the dark and contact was only made when we asked questions. Dragged out the problem but was willing to finish if we drew up another contract. Mediation went nowhere and was assigned an attorney who didn't know our case. No contact and information was given unless we DEMANDED it.

I had my 341 hearing on 4/19/2012 at that time my attorney (KEL) suggested that I forfeit a piece of property I own in lieu of my car being taken away. The trustee agreed. For the next 7 wks. I called KEL (my attorneys) to find out if it was settled. 7wks later they told me they don't want the property and that I could do a buyout for $2500 or finance for 3600. Then a couple of days later they said no finance
$2500 or they take the vehicle. these attorneys are not good advocates
for you.

I mentioned when we first met I am a now single mother of 2, I have a permanent injunction against my soon to be ex husband, and all I was looking for was someone to carry out the work in which they were hired. Your company has caused me nothing but headaches leaving me to believe that you all were nothing but an added stress, leaving me with more problems than I originally had. There was no guidance nor advise. There was nothing but confusion, stress, and last minute demands.

As a client of KEL attorneys I wasn't kept up to date on my case. Calls to the firm went unreturned. They weren't up to speed on laws and regulations relating to VA insured loans. My case was dismissed and the Lis Pendens still shows up in public records, preventing financing other real estate. They moved to dismiss the case as the company filing failed to show they owned the note. The Satisfaction of Mortgage was from the original mortgage holder and not the bank who file the case.

KEL was totally incompetent and unprofessional. They shuffled my case to so many people, it seemed like even they couldn't keep things straight. They changed my address with my lender to their address, and then when I called for a status update, they would say that the lender sent me mail requiring more info. The mail had been sitting in their mailroom, and my case was further delayed! KEL attorneys also gave me bad information about what was going on in my case.

Retainer was mid-level compared to other firms in the Orlando area. They were very "up front" about fees and provided periodic statements that showed exactly how the retainer was allocated. I liked that a lot. They have client advocates who sit with you in preliminary meetings to explain legal procedures in layman's terms. Very nice customer service feature.

I went through a foreclosure procedure, I had no idea what was going on I emailed regularly for months and then gave up. I called multiple times to be redirected and being a working mother of four children I wanted straight answers which were hard to get. I did not hear from them for months and then was told that my case was not heard by the judge and the bank would have to re-pursue me. Then I was told that my contract would be over and I would have to hire them again for an additional $2800

They promised things in the consultation and did nothing for us. All they were was the go between for us and our mortgage company. We uploaded info and they passed it on. We never even spoke to an attorney with them but instead had correspondence with what i would call sales reps. They fail to return phone calls. The online live chat assistance is never working and yet they claim to help people stay in their homes & avoid foreclosure. After paying out a large sum of money they have done nothing.

I decided to use this law firm for loan modification/foreclosure defense. Worse decision ever! They were horrible! They informed me from the beginning the process would take 9 months the most, so I signed up with them. Of course they asked for $2750.00 upfront in order for them to begin representing me. A year later, no results. The bank sent me a denial letter, but KEL rep continue to harass me daily to give another 2750 due to contract being expired.KEEP AWAY FROM KEL. No coordination at all.
