Fees. Be sure to look at the General Information section for a discussion of fees. We offer representation rates on an hourly basis, on a fixed-fee-plus-contingency basis, a partial contingent fee basis, and a full contingent fee basis.
A Word On Contingent Fees. While it is true that many clients are unable to afford representation on an hourly basis (especially when they suddenly find themselves out of work), you should be aware that contingent fee contracts generally allow your attorney to earn more on an hourly basis than he or she would have earned if you had been able to pay for the services on a time-and-charges basis each month. This higher fee accounts for the risk taken by the lawyer that no fee will be earned for his or her services if a satisfactory result is not achieved. Make sure your lawyer spells out all of the terms of any contingent fee in writing before you agree to retain his or her services on that basis.
