David Stone opened his legal practice in New Rochelle, his home town, out of a love for the community, its diversity, and the quality of life it has to offer.
David Stone is an active participant in the New Rochelle and Westchester communities, supporting multiple public organizations and causes. He is active in local politics, on the Executive Board of the Independence Party for Judicial and Legislative screening, is on the Board of Directors of the Stephen Gaynor School for children with learning disabilities, and has announced his intention of running for City Mayor of New Rochelle.
Mr. Stone has taught in the paralegal program at Berkley College in White Plains, is an advocate for the rights of children with learning disabilities, lectures, provides representation for victims of domestic violence, raises money for various non-profit and educational organizations, and volunteers to assist in the arbitration of civil cases in the local court.
Mr. Stone regularly attends continuing legal education seminars to stay current of changing areas of the law, and has received extensive training and practical experience in the fields of SURETY and FIDELITY law. As Senior Attorney responsible for Complex Claims at the American International Group, Mr. Stone personally handled in excess of 500 cases involving Financial Institution and Commercial Fidelity claims.
David Stone is admitted to and a member in good standing of the New York State and New Jersey Bar, the Federal District Court Bar for New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals 2nd and 3rd Circ. Bar, and the United States Supreme Court Bar.
