As debtors counsel our firm has been involved in numerous bond issues guaranteed by AFICA and have participated in the creation and private placement of real estate related securities.
Estate and Estate Administration:
Some of the largest Estates in Puerto Rico are and have been our clients. We have delt with multi jurisdictional heirs and have helped them save substantial amounts in estate taxes.
Construction:
Our construction group drafts construction contracts and provides counseling to contractors and owners. Our litigation group is highly effective in dealing with construction disputes. Our firm has been and is closely involved with the ever changing and distinctive Puerto Rico case law and legislation relating to Construction. We are members of and continuously participate in educational events sponsored by the Puerto Rico Chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America and of the Home Builders Association of America.
Real Estate Development:
There is a special synergy between the real estate group, the construction group and the corporate group. We represent large developers of residential and commercial real estate and participate in the bank and bond financing of their projects as well as in all other legal aspects of real estate development. The firm's managing partner site on the Board of Directors and chairs the Legislation Committee of the Puerto Rico hapter of the Home Builders Association of America . We have participated in real estate transactions under the Tourism Development Act and under the new Timeshare Law representing both owners of hotels and resorts as well as investors.
