Neil Flaxman earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Finance from New York University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, School of Law.
Served as Municipal Judge from 1968 - 1970 and, thereafter, as City Attorney for Miami-Dade and Broward County municipalities and Governmental Boards. Served as attorney for the Miami Dade Fire Rescue Board. Active as counsel for Pension, Health and Welfare Funds (ERISA) and union representation under Labor Management Relations Act (LMRA).
Active in employment matters involving both public and private sectors and Administrative matters, including Fair Labor Standard Act (overtime), Title VII, Civil Rights Act of 1991 (CRA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), 42 USC 1981 and 1983 actions, Civil Rights, Equal Pay Act, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Sexual Harassment, Defamation, COBRA, Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Unemployment Compensation and Federal and State mandated labor and employment laws.
