The firm of Merkel & Cocke was founded in 1982 by Charles Merkel and John Cocke and has since grown to its present size of seven attorneys. The firm has a general litigation practice with an emphasis on medical malpractice, professional malpractice, personal injury, products liability, commercial litigation, and workers compensation. Firm members are active in the state and local bar associations and the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association, with members having served as officers and directors.
