About the Firm
My name is Mike Dover and I am an attorney practicing in Plano, Texas. I generally represent clients in Collin, Dallas, and Denton counties in North Texas. I also represent clients who live out of town and need an attorney for business matters in Collin, Denton or Dallas counties.
I have practiced law in the Dallas and North Texas area for 17 years. My expertise, and thus, my area of practice, is concentrated on consumer and business bankruptcy, business organizations such as partnerships, corporations, and limited liability companies, business and commercial transactions, asset protection and estate planning, probate, guardianships, and elder law.
I am a sole practitioner; when you retain me to represent you, you will deal with me throughout the process, not a paralegal or inexperienced new hire. If needed, I can bring in additional attorneys or other professionals. If I am not the best person for your case, I will tell you that, too.
My firm provides client-oriented services in a friendly, ethical, and cost effective manner using technology and expertise. I focus on each client's background, needs, and goals, and I am committed to offering our clients informed options that best fit their needs.
Dedication to quality, understanding of the law, trust, and respect are the foundation of my long-standing relationships with my clients and the community.
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in economics summa cum laude in 1982. I graduated from the Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1986. I am a native Texan and I have lived in Plano since 1992. I am married and have one child. My family and I are active members of First United Methodist Church of Plano and I have served as the Chairman of the Church's Board of Trustees.
