Mr. Marvin is actively involved in the Consulting Engineers Counsel of Oregon. For many years he was the chairman of the legislative committee where he headed many successful efforts to pass legislation on behalf of the design community. In the last legislative session, CECO, working with other design professionals, was successful in passing qualification based selection legislation as well as many substantive changes to the engineering statutes.
In addition, Mr. Marvin was one of the organizers of the Construction Law Section of the Oregon State Bar and was one of the founders of the Oregon State Bar Professional Liability Fund.
Mr. Marvin and Ms. Chorzempa give seminars on design/construction law and they co-authored the chapter on "Owner/Architect/Engineer Agreements" in the Oregon State Bar's 1997 Construction Law CLE.
CHORZEMPA
Ms. Chorzempa is active in the Construction Specifications Institute and is also a member of the American Institute of Architects.
LARSON
Mr. Larson is involved in the American Council of Engineering Companies - Oregon (ACEC). He also is a member of the Risk Management subcommittee. He has recently given Continuing Education seminars on the defense of design professionals.
