 Ms. Chorzempa is a registered architect in the State of Oregon and attorney whose practice focuses on design/construction law and product liability. From 1972-1990, she worked on architectural projects in Germany, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado. Her experience includes residential, commercial, educational, and governmental design & construction, including managing a $72 million dollar expansion for the Portland Public School District. She also taught technical and design courses at the Portland State University and University of Oregon.
Ms. Chorzempa is active in the American Institute of Architects and the Construction Specifications Institute, and a member of the American Bar Association, Oregon State Bar, Washington State Bar and the Multnomah County Bar Association. She is Vice-Chair person of the Oregon State Bar Construction Law Section and has served as Treasurer. Since 1990, she has practiced in Oregon representing both first and third party claims as well as providing general business legal services to design and construction professionals. She co-authorized the "Owner-Architect/Engineer Agreements" Chapter of the Oregon State Bar Construction Law CLE and actively makes presentations in construction/design law seminars to the design and legal community in Oregon.
Ms. Chorzempa's 24 years as an architect provides an in-depth understanding of the construction/design industry. Her practice also includes negotiating and drafting of contracts and general business advice.
