Lisa L. Taylor is a solo practitioner with over 14 years of litigation experience, specializing in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child support, child custody, and parentage issues. Representing clients throughout the Rio Grande Valley of Texas including Cameron, Hidalgo, Willacy counties, Ms. Taylor has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1999. Her solo practice commenced on July 1, 2003, having previously been a partner in the firm of Brasch & Taylor, L.L.P. for 8 years, and an associate of the firm Johnson & Davis, L.L.P. for 3 years, both in Harlingen, Texas. Ms. Taylor graduated with honors from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas and she received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and was appointed to the Family Law Council of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, serving a five-year term from 1999-2004. A frequent lecturer and speaker regarding family law issues, Ms. Taylor has spoken at programs put on by the State Bar of Texas as well as the University of Houston Family Law Foundation and the University of Texas at Austin, Capson School of Law, Continuing Legal Education Department. A former member of the Legislative Committee and the Form Book Committee of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, she assisted the Family Law Section in drafting proposed future family law legislation and family law forms for the use of family law practitioners throughout the state. Ms. Taylor also handles matters for her clients in the areas of real estate, wills and probate and is a licensed C.P.A., able to utilize her knowledge of financial matters in the representation of her clients. | |
