- 5th Circuit Amicus Brief in Emerson, Independence Institute.
- Texas Emerson Decision (in .pdf, so ADOBE ACROBAT READER required)On March 31, 1999, the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, San Angelo division, found that 18 USC 922(g)(8) (forbidding weapons possession by one subject to restraining order against threatening an intimate partner, etc.) violated 2d Amendment and Fifth Amendment. The Ruling is also a .pdf document (ADOBE ACROBAT READER).
- S.B. 84 has been withdrawn by its sponsers in light of the Columbine School Masacre. This was likely within three days of being on the Governor's desk for signature when the tragedy at Columbine occurred. This would have pre-empted local control of firearms, and made Colorado a uniform "shall issue concealed carry permits" instead of a "may issue" state. A house bill H.B. 1316 was killed by the Senate.

- visualroute and analogx are on the technical side, and are tools for tracing the path taken by internet messages to and from your computer. Definitely for the techno-geek. Try running the command "tracert" (without the quotation marks) from your START>RUN on Win95/98/NT also.
- PeopleSearch is the latest (10/20/99) for finding addresses, phones, and E-mails.
- American Information Network charges $20 to search databases for Driver's License records, (47 states), locate people, and more. I've used this, and it was the best $20 I've spent in a long time. With name and state, I got addresses, dob, social security, and neighbors (addresses, names, and many phone numbers), going back to 1993.
