AREAS OF CONCENTRATION

My law practice consists of the following areas.

NURSING HOME  AND ELDER LITIGATION

I am actively engaged in the practice of representing older persons. I represent elders and their families in nursing home litigations including: restraint related death cases, pressure ulcers, improper use of chemical and or physical restraints and other deviations from the appropriate standard of care.

I have authored the article entitled "Reporting Elder Abuse " and am also a coauthor of  the Texts: "Nursing Home Litigation Pre-Trials Practice and Procedure", "Nursing Home Litigation Investigation and Case Preparation" and am a reviewing editor of "Medical Legal Aspects of Pain and Suffering"  I have also authored book chapters currently in press on the subjects of nursing home contracts and expert witness preparation for trial. I regularly conduct seminars for other attorneys and health care professionals on Nursing Home Litigation and Elder Law Issues.

I counsel older persons regarding their estate plans, shielding assets from catastrophic medical illness or hospitalization and asset management.

FEDERAL CRIMINAL DEFENSE

I have been a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for over thirteen years. I am thoroughly familiar with the intricacies of federal criminal defense from indictment challenges, to the application of the United States Sentencing Guidelines. I have represented defendants in white collar crimes, tax evasions, mail and wire fraud and drug cases. I have been involved in numerous high profile multi-defendant mega trials over the past 18 years.

BUSINESS AND FINANCING MATTERS

I have a degree in accounting and I have been employed in the public accounting field and in the private sector. I have extensive contacts for funding business ventures
