If you are being sued or a claim is being made against you for some issue which may be covered by your automobile, homeowners or renters insurance, you must contact you insurance company and report the claim as soon as possible.  Failure to do so could result in the forfeiture of your insurance benefits.   If necessary, your insurance company will provide an attorney for you.
