Our firm has a long and proud history of standing up for the rule of law and civil rights in Malaysia. Our lawyers are at the forefront of developments in human rights and public interest litigation in Malaysia, and are frequently consulted by private clients, the Malaysian Bar Council, human rights groups and non-governmental agencies with respect to law reform, public policy and human rights issues. Our lawyers have acted in various high profile public interest matters, and regularly conduct educational workshops and seminars on civil and human rights issues. In addition, it has been one of the firm's core principles since its inception in 1962 to enhance access to justice for people in need. Lawyers across all our departments are encouraged to take up deserving cases on a pro bono basis, in areas as diverse as criminal law, matrimonial disputes, probate actions, real property litigation, and contractual disputes.
