The firm specializes in representing debtors, trustees and creditors in bankruptcy. This includes representation of financial institutions, secured creditors, creditors’ committees and investors or insiders in Chapter 7 and 11 cases and workouts. Additionally, firm members practice personal injury law, social security, insurance law, mediation and domestic relations law in State and Federal Court. Occasionally, the firm has handled complex criminal cases covered by local and national media. Members of the firm have substantial courtroom experience in jury and non-jury trials as well as appellate practice. Organized in 1972, the firm is presently comprised of five partners and one of counsel. Their combined experience totals more than 120 years of law practice in both Federal and State Court. Many of the firm’s clients are one-time referral clients requiring assistance with a complex matter or representation in Central or South Georgia.
