1. Will it cost me a lot of money to hire a lawyer?
ANSWER: If you have a bona fide personal injury case, it will cost you nothing to retain our law firm to prosecute it. You will sign a retainer agreement which states that our legal fee will come out of the money we recover for you at the end of the case. If you do not recover any money, there will be no legal fee. 2. What about expenses incurred in prosecuting the case?
ANSWER: All expenses will be advanced by the firm. The expenses will be deducted from the amount recovered for you at the end. The Bar Association requires reimbursement of expenses if the case is unsuccessful. This rarely happens. 3. How do I know if I have a personal injury case?
ANSWER: Any time you are injured due to the fault of another, you may have a case. Typical personal injury cases arise from automobile accidents, and on the job injuries. We will meet with you free of charge to discuss the case to determine whether or not you have a matter worth pursuing. Just call our 800 number and we will be more than happy to review your case with you. 4. What if I cannot make it to the office?
ANSWER: We will travel to your home, hospital, place of employment or other location to meet with you to discuss the case. For your convenience, we have satellite offices in Tukwila, Bellevue, Federal Way, Everett and Lynnwood. It is not necessary that you travel to our offices. 5. What if I am partially responsible for my own injuries?
ANSWER: You still may have a case. In Washington State, personal injury or tort law is based upon comparative negligence. In other words, you may still be able to recover money even if you are some percentage at fault for the accident. 6. What if I was injured in a different state or out of the country?
ANSWER: We handle cases throughout the U.S. and in Canada. We will co-counsel with local attorneys or barristers if litigation becomes necessary. These are just a few of the questions you may have about personal injury or negligence cases. Please feel free to call our toll free number or e-mail us if you feel you have a personal injury case. |
