Consulting with an attorney can be intimidating. Not with Karen! She has a knack for making her clients feel at ease.
Most of Karen's clients want a thoughtful personalized estate plan, which might include a will, a health care proxy, a durable power of attorney, a trust, and related or similar documents.
Karen listens attentively and offers frank advice. Because she does not believe that one size fits all, she works closely with each client to develop the most appropriate estate plan for that person's individual needs.
By the time you leave Karen's office with your completed documents, you will understand what each document is for and what each document will do. Karen finds immense satisfaction in seeing her clients relieved of anxiety because they have provided for the future.
Karen is well-trained and well-educated. Now practicing at the Boston law firm Engel & Schultz LLP, she first opened her doors to estate planning clients in 1999. Before entering private practice, Karen achieved distinction as a litigator for the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice. For over five years she represented the federal government in district and circuit courts across the nation. Her education includes a J.D. from Stanford Law School and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
