John Griffin Jones is a small firm practitioner in Jackson with Jones, Funderburg & Sessums, PLLC. Approximately half of his practice consists of representing claimants in workers' compensation cases. He completed his undergraduate, graduate and law school education at the University of Mississippi, obtaining the J.D. degree in 1985. From 1985 to 1986, Mr. Jones was a law clerk for the United States District Judge Tom S. Lee of the Southern District of Mississippi. Mr. Jones is a member of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association, the Mississippi Bar and the American Bar Association, where he served as a Union member of the Employee Rights and Responsibilities in the Workplace Committee. He is past Chairman of the Administrative Law and Workers' Compensation section of the Mississippi Bar, and is listed in the publication The Best Lawyers in America in the field of workers' compensation.
