Real Estate
JLJ has extensive experience in all facets of real estate practice, including the purchase, sale, leasing and development of real property. The Firm also represents lenders and owners in foreclosures, and financings. JLJ is counsel for the owner of Arkansas's largest commercial office building, The TCBY Tower. JLJ has been involved from its development through its refinancing, and continues to be involved in day to day dealings with the owner, tenants and the lender. JLJ regularly represents Arkansas's largest commercial real estate company in transactional and litigation matters, has represented clients in some of the largest real estate development projects in Arkansas, and is well versed in property acquisition, financing, construction contracts and leasing matters. Our attorneys regularly represent developers in the development, acquisition, sale and financing of shopping centers and other real estate projects.

Environmental Law
As part of its real estate practice, JLJ regularly handles routine environmental site assessments and due diligence matters related to property acquisitions and sales. Additionally, JLJ has attorneys experienced in significant environmental matters including CERCLA (Superfund), RCRA, TSCA, solid and medical waste disposal, and environmental permitting matters before the USEPA and the ADPCE, and the state environmental protection agencies in several states, including Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, California, Arizona and Louisiana. Our experience with these state agencies ranged from RCRA permitting and enforcement actions, to release emergencies, to transportation problems, including spills.
