Joseph H. LaMore, Jr. is a former Assistant State's Attorney for Anne Arundel County and an honors graduate from the University of Maryland School of Law, with vast experience before all Maryland State and Federal Courts.  Mr. LaMore provides representation in all Criminal matters and a wide variety of complex Civil matters.

Criminal Practice 

Mr. LaMore has handled thousands of Criminal cases, ranging from DWI to First Degree Murder, and virtually every crime in between.  During his tenure as a prosecutor, the Mayor of Annapolis awarded him the Annapolis City Police Department Distinguished Service Citation.  Mr. LaMore has accompanied police officers on ride-alongs involving felony drug arrests and domestic violence.  He also has been nationally certified at the Anne Arundel County Police Training Academy in Field Sobriety Testing, which is the same testing utilized by police officers across the State in DWI / DUI arrests.

The United States Federal Courts have also acknowledged Mr. LaMore's legal skills by appointing him as a Federal Criminal Justice Act Attorney, for purposes of representing individuals charged with Federal crimes.    

Civil Practice

Mr. LaMore routinely litigates complex civil cases involving Personal Injury, Family Law, Business matters and many others.

In the field of Personal Injury, Mr. LaMore has specialized experience which benefits his injured clients.  He is a former lawyer for the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund, and thus is familiar with the techniques insurance companies utilize to defend the claims of persons injured in Auto Accidents.  Mr. LaMore has obtained significant recoveries for his injured clients in cases including wrongful death, medical malpractice, auto accidents, and other serious, permanent injury. 

In the Family Law arena, Mr. LaMore vigorously represents clients in all types of cases, including Divorce, Separation Agreements, Child Custody, Child Support, Alimony, Property Disposition, Adoption, and Protective Orders.  Mr. LaMore's skills in Domestic Law have been recognized by various Judges of the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, who have appointed him in highly contested cases to represent the interests of minor children in Family Law proceedings. 

In the Business field, Mr. LaMore has assisted many businesses with their legal needs, from initial formation, to litigation of disputes.  Mr. LaMore regularly drafts, negotiates, reviews and litigates contracts and agreements on behalf of his clients. 

Mr. LaMore also handles a wide variety of other legal matters including, real estate, wills, juvenile and school related issues.
