The Law Office of John Economidy is a sole proprietorship.

The attorney is John M. Economidy (pronounced E'-kahn-O'-mid-E'). Office manager and paralegal is Wayne E. Watts.

Mr. Economidy obtained undergraduate degrees in journalism and government at the University of Texas at Austin and then entered the Air Force for four years of military service, including a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. He left the service and entered Texas Tech University School of Law in 1971. After being graduated from law school and passing the bar exam in Texas, he rejoined the Air Force and served with the Judge Advocate General's Department. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, and he left the Air Force in April 1984 to become a sole practitioner in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Economidy practices law in three major areas:

--Criminal Law: federal, state, and military justice practice. His state criminal law practice covers felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile offenders.

--Military Law, particularly military justice actions such as courts-martial and nonjudicial punishments, but also discharge boards, discharge upgrades, board for correction of military records, and physical evaluation (disability) boards.

--Civil Law, including divorce, family law, wills, probate, and personal injury law.

Mr. Economidy is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is not certified as a specialist in any other area of the law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His principal office is in San Antonio, Texas.
