Ms. Vaughn received her law degree from Michigan State University-College of Law in 1993, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While there, she received many honors and awards, including the American Jurisprudence Prize Book Award in the study of criminal law, the Harold E. Bledsoe Award, the Michigan Consolidation Gas Company American Natural Resources Scolarship, the William C. Kirchbaum Award, and the Harold H. and Marion T. Gordon Award.
Ms. Vaughn joined the prestigious law firm of Honigman, Miller, Schwartz & Cohn in 1993. In September of 1994, Ms. Vaughn joined Kell & Lynch, P.C., and in 1995 became "of counsel" to that firm.
In 1995, Ms. Vaughn assisted in the establishment of Experts in Home Health Management, Inc., a Medicare/Medicaid and Blue Cross/Blue Shield Certified Home Health Care Agency. Ms. Vaughn obtained extensive knowledge regarding state and federal regulations with respect to the home health industry, and served as its in-house counsel until 1997.
Ms. Vaughn is a registered nurse graduating Cum Laude from Eastern Michigan University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. At that time, Ms. Vaughn was one of two students recognized as the first in the University's history to graduate with honors in that field.
In 1997, Ms. Vaughn began practice in the new Southfield firm of Vaughn & Twitty, P.L.L.C. In 2000, Ms. Vaughn relocated to Georgia and focused her practice in the area of residential real estate. In 2006, the law firm of M. Andrea Vaughn and Associates, LLC was formed. |
