Hill & Hill, P.C. (now LLC) was founded in 1935 by Mortimer Stone and Alden T. Hill.  William S. Hill, the father of Alden T., came to Ft. Collins in the late 1800s.  While his dad did business, worked in education and eventually became the U.S. Congressman for the 4th district of Colorado, Alden T. found his calling in the law and work as an attorney.  Alden T. attended what is now known as the University of Denver.  He practiced until 1998 when he passed away while doing what he loved most, working at the firm with his family.  He had a long and successful career with numerous cases in the Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court. He often said that he may have lost his first few cases at trial but he won them all on appeal.  His former partners included a Colorado Court of Appeals justice, Judge Coyote, and the Colorado Supreme Court Justice, Judge Stone.  He set a high standard in his work, and his clients remember him as a good friend, good humored man, and sharp-minded attorney.  Hill and Hill LLC continues to provide high quality legal services with long term relationships with clients.
