Mr. Fincher is a sole practitioner with a general civil trial practice. He practices primarily in the following areas:

Business formations and litigation

Family law (including divorce, child custody disputes, visitation and relocation issues)

Probate administration and litigation (including estates, conservatorships and guardianships)

Personal injury litigation (including auto accidents and worker's compensation suits).

Mr. Fincher's practice also covers a wide variety of other civil matters, including Union-side labor arbitration, ERISA, securities arbitration, real estate disputes and other civil matters. He no longer practices criminal law.

Mr. Fincher was born and raised in Cookeville, Tennessee. He graduated with highest honors from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville in a triple major. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1994.

While at Harvard Law School, Mr. Fincher was active with the Lincoln's Inn Society, serving as its Chairman in 1993-1994, and with Harvard Law's prosecution clinical program operated in conjunction with the Middlesex County, Massachusetts, District Attorney's office.

After passing the Tennessee bar, Mr. Fincher performed a prestigious clerkship for the Hon. Gilbert S. Merritt, Chief Judge for the Sixth Circuit United States Court of Appeals.

After his clerkship, Mr. Fincher practiced in the field of commercial litigation with the Nashville, Tennessee, firm of Stokes & Bartholomew, P.A.

Desiring a broader-based practice that offered even more trial work, Mr. Fincher moved back home with his family in 1997, and has practiced in Cookeville, Tennessee, since that time.

Mr. Fincher is licensed to practice before all Tennessee state and federal courts. He is not certified as a civil trial specialist by the Tenn Comm'n on CLE and Specialization.
