Achievements
| | | - These are some recent achievements of our firm's members:
- Partner Robert L. Parks was elected president of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers for 2000-2001. He had been President-Elect, Vice President, Dean and Secretary of International Relations for the worldwide group, whose membership is limited to 500 lawyers in the United States and a select number abroad. Mr. Parks is also chair of the Miami River Commission.
- Partner Wm. Andrew Haggard was elected chair of the State Chair's Committee for the International Academy of Trial Lawyers for 2000-2001. He was also recently named to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
- Associate Michael Andrew Haggard was elected a director of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and secretary of the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association. Both posts are for the year 1999-2000.
- Associate Jeannete Lewis Bologna was elected to the board of the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association for 1999-2000.
- Wm. Andrew "Andy" Haggard was elected to the Florida State University Foundation Board of Trustees in 1998. The year before, he was appointed chair of the Leadership Council of Florida State University's College of Arts and Sciences. The Council's mission is to support and promote the welfare, recognition and progress of FSU's College of Arts and Sciences.
- In August 1998, Robert Parks was elected chair of the Miami River Commission, a new group designed to coordinate activities to improve the Miami River, a river of commerce that runs through the heart of Miami. In 1997-98, he chaired the study commission that led to the present commission's existence. He was appointed by the late Gov. Lawton Chiles.
- Robert Parks and Wm. Andrew Haggard were named to the Best Lawyers in America for 1999-2000 under the category of Personal Injury Law.
